Salar Ataie

Tradition tells that the Archangel Gabriel communicated to the prophet Muhammad the revelations of Allah, which were made in rhymed prose, and at intervals, until his death. Then they were gathered together in a holy book known as the Koran, which is divided into 114 chapters called azora and each one of them an ayah.

Some precepts of the Koran

Salar Ataie Religion in Arab culture

For Muslims, the Qur’an is the eternal and lasting word of God, so its dissemination must be carried out with the least possible change from its original language, which is classical Arabic.

  • Help a brother in need: No Muslim should leave a stranger, family member or friend without the help that he demands so much.
  • Prayer: Every Mohammedan should pray five times a day, since it is a way of thanking God for all that he gives to his children.
  • Fasting during the month of Ramadan: It consists of 30 days of fasting that go from sunrise to sunset, during the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. During this time the faithful abstain from food, sexual relations and drinks.
  • The pilgrimage to Mecca: Every Muslim must make at least once in his life a pilgrimage to Mecca.
  • The Holy War: It is established in the Koran as a way to celebrate the spread of Islam thanks to the conquests of Muhammad.
